Spamming Via Private Message System
Sending avertisement throughout the Private Message System, is not allowed. We do monitor the Private Message too see if this rule is followed. If we catch anybody sending advertisements to our members, or if it gets reported, your IP gets banned without further notice, and forever. NO WARNING WILL BE GIVEN.

NO, everyone here at VPG whether they are a Founder or member or guest all abide by the same rules and no rank has a different set of rules.

Voting.
New rule/clan change votes/polls must have a brief description in the subject line, an in-depth description in the first post after the poll is created and must contain all relevant choices to choose from including a yes/no choice. Healthy debate is welcomed on all rule/clan changes all will have the ability to reply and post. This will be done in the members only section

Member votes/polls will be posted in the "New Member Votes" forum and will be limited to the replies of the sentinel team for added information and the security team for the purpose of background checks only. Members will not be able to post replies and will only select one of the available choices. Again the yes/no option is the only options. New member vote poll procedure is now set so that no one can see the results until the 7 day poll period has passed

A re-vote for a previous vote on a rule/clan change must wait for a mandatory 30 day period before it will be allowed to be re-posted.

Over whelming Majority rule is defined as the rule that requires more than 70% of VPG members who cast a vote to agree in order for the whole community to make a decision on that measure. An "Abstain Vote" does not count as a vote. It will not get tallied in the calculations. Members should not vote on games they do not actively participate in.

Procedure for ban appeal and whether a ban is upheld or reversed.
When a ban appeal is received from a banned player, a committee of 5 officers will be formed. The officers can be any combination of Founders, Clan Officer or Security Officers. The one exception to this will be that the person who issued the ban will not be permitted to sit on the appeal committee. The banning officer will of course be a valuable asset to the committee in explaining what he himself witnessed that led him to issue the ban.

This committee of 5 will look at the reason for the ban and discuss this reason amongst themselves. Where the ban was issued for foul, disrespectful or racist language, the chat log from the time of the ban will be very useful. When the offender was banned for hacking, any video of the game in question or other files can be scrutinized and discussed amongst the committee.
Discussion is vital as one person will often have a different perspective than another of the events seen and different arguements for whether a hack was indeed used. Such factors as specific weapon, perk or map knowledge can play a vital part in how events are percieved.

When the committee members are satisfied among themselves that they have a fair picture of how they personally perceive the events arising to the ban, the offender should, if possible, be contacted and asked to meet before the committee in Teamspeak to answer any outstanding questions the committee may have, and also have a chance to explain the event(s) that lead to the ban.

The interview with the offender shall at all times be polite and mature. Any member of the committee deemed to be offensive toward the offender will immediately be removed from the Teamspeak channel and replaced on the committee.

After the offender has had a chance to explain his case and all the members of the committee feel they personally have the information required to make a ruling, the committee will disband and a poll will be posted in the Security Office on the forums along the lines of:

Only the appeal committee for this individual appeal can vote on this post! The committee on this case were: , , , ,

The vote will only contain 2 options: "Uphold the ban" and "Reverse the ban". As only 5 votes will be cast, there will be a majority decision in each appeal case. This discision is final and binding regarding the case in question.

new member application procedure
1 : Player makes application to VPG
2 : Player must come on TS for minimum of 7 days over a 2 week period with a minimum of 1 hour per day.
3 : Security checks are done while the 7 day period is active from the security office on the members app on forums.
4 : When the player has passed the TS and security check Then the Applicants poll will be posted
5 : Applicants Poll to Join VPG, for members to vote on for 7 days period on the New Members Votes Forums.
6 : No Comments are to be made on the New Members Vote forums from Security or sentinels / Founders /Members.
7 : POLLS WILL ONLY BE LISTED IN VOTES AFTER THE APPLICANTS HAVE PASSED SECURITY CHECK AND TS TIME PERIOD SO NO NEED TO COMMENT.
8 : Players Who have a Disability will have a different type of POLL / VOTE accordingly to their disability
9 : The day after a vote has failed, and post has been locked, the person may not reapply till after a 30 days
10. An applicant needs to wait a six month period before reapplying after two failed vote attempts.

Are cheats, hacks, and enhancements permitted on the VPG servers?
No, the use of any cheats, hacks, or enhancements are not permitted in Vantage Point Gaming servers. VPG members may not use cheats, hacks or enhancements in any game, on any server. Use of these will result in, and not limited to kick or banning from the servers, either on a temporary or permanent basis depending on the situation or severity.

Is swearing and adult language allowed?
Yes, swearing and adult language are allowed, however, this is in all areas except the welcome channel. Vantage Point Gaming asks that swearing and adult language be kept in moderation, and continued use or overuse will result in a player being removed from the channel. If occurrences continue, players will be held accountable, not limited to temporary or permanent kicks and/or bans. NEGATIVE RACIAL COMMENTS, SLURS OR CURSES ARE NOT TOLERATED AT ALL!!! Is Push-To-Talk required to be on?
No, it is not required to be on. Push-To-talk allows others to play without distraction of excessive background noises produced by over sensitive mic's. While we game most do not care to listen to the everyday goings on of others who use continuous transition allowing all their background noise to be heard by all. If excessive noise becomes a problem, you will be asked to use Push-To-Talk.

Use of special characters.
The use of special characters, be it shift number keys, or any combination of keys to create a special character in TeamSpeak is not allowed. They may result in a disruption to users who have phonetics activated to hear who has entered the channel/server. This is also a possible security risk for hackers to exploit. Names in TeamSpeak may only have regular letters/numbers. With the exception of clan tags.

No. At no time will the ever be a reserved slot for members. This includes forcibly removing a player prematurely for breaking server rules without the full use of the warning system. Members/admins found abusing this will be subject to founder disciplinary action.

Can I run & jump to get somewhere on the map?
No, if you must run and jump to get to an area of the map, that section is considered off-limits. Running is permitted only to cover when under fire, therefore, running and jumping is prohibited.

Can I run?
Running is permitted to cover, only when under direct fire from a gun, grenade, or other weapon. This does not include running and jumping. You may stand to shoot, and you are allowed a couple of steps to, for eg. peek out a window, shoot and step back to hide and get back into crouch. but it must be from behind cover

Additional Movements
Only 1 jump from tactical insert upon spawning in is allowed – repetitive jumping not allowed, and will be considered bunny hopping.

Dolphin diving is not allowed, UNLESS you are running from enemy fire or grenade

Strafing – only 2-3 steps allowed from behind cover. You are not allowed to strafe from window to window, you must be crouched when moving between windows.

A couple steps before crouching from spawn are allowed.

As with all rules above, if someone is abusing these leniencies, warnings and a possible kick will be issued.

Players will receive a maximum of 3 warnings before they are removed from the server, and depending on the severity or situation, a player may be removed immediately without warning if an VPG admin interprets the situation to warrant such a kick or ban. What weapons are permitted on the server?
All weapons and perks are allowed on this server. However, from time to time, the servers may host specific weapon sets for events, it is the responsibility of all players to read the rules and scrolling text. If an event is going, please adhere to the chosen rule-set for that event. Failure to comply after warnings will result in kicks and/or bans.

What happens if I chose not to adhere to the rules? Can I be removed just for not listening?
Yes, a player can and will be removed at an admins' discretion for choosing not to abide by the rules set by Vantage Point Gaming and it's members. Admins of VPG can at their own discretion remove any player who they believe is either failing to abide by the rules listed above or in an event description or believed to be instigating trouble. Any player who is asked to refrain from a behavior and continues with that behavior can be asked to leave or be removed by an admin.

All Vantage Point Gaming members and guests are asked to conduct themselves in a manner fitting of all rules set forth, and to not question the decisions set by the admins. Failure to comply or repeated questioning of an admin's decision or argument within the server will be given one kick, and if the behavior or argument continues, will be permanently banned from the server. Such behavior is disruptive and will be dealt with accordingly.

I disagree with an admin's decision, how can I dispute this?
At times one may not agree with the decision of VPG admins, whether with a warning, or ban, and that is understandable. Such disagreements can be addressed within teamspeak or on the forums, in a respectful manner. Join teamspeak and respectfully ask to speak with the admin or senior member present. Respectfully present your case and any facts you have to support your claim. Many cases are simply a differing view of the events, and can be explained. Failure to dispute your claim respectfully, however, can and will be subject to additional consequences. For example, if you are kicked from a game for too many team kills, and attempt to dispute your kick by swearing or using racial slurs to the admin, your kick may become a permanent ban. All cases are subject to an admin's discretion, but may be reviewed at any time. VPG supports its' admins and their decisions, so just be respectful when disputing, that's all we ask.
